Why is chloride so dangerous?

When chloride ions are released into the environment, they cause damage to infrastructure, property, plants, soil, freshwater environments & and human health. Once they enter the environment, they are very hard to remove.

How does treated salt help?

By treating salt with an organic additive like Organic Melt, you can dramatically increase the effectiveness of rock salt. This means you use less, it lasts longer and works faster.

Where does the sugar beet come from?

Sugar beet is one of the leading sources of sugar in North America. When the sugar beet is processed, it has a number of waste products. We utilize these byproducts as the basis for our unique sugar beet blend, that improves effectiveness and efficiency of traditional brines at lower temperatures.

Does it stain?

No! These are not the typical beets that you think of. They are white - not purple. The product has a slight smell - kind of like molasses, but is water soluble and does not stain concrete, clothing or anything else.

What is the difference between Organic Melt Premium and Beet Blast?

Organic Melt Premium is made from a finer potash salt, and therefore has a higher amount of our sugar beet additive per salt granule. This means it can work for longer, activate faster and be used at lower application rates. It can also deliver slightly superior performance when you really need it.
